Lead Sports Performance Coach
Overview
Help us build the premier athlete-development program in the South Bend–Mishawaka area.
M2 Performance & Recovery, home of Parisi Speed School at Mishawaka Fieldhouse, is looking for a Lead Sports Performance Coach who can do more than run a great workout.
We're looking for someone who can coach athletes, develop other coaches, build relationships with families, and help grow a high-performing sports performance program.
This role is ideal for an experienced strength and conditioning, sports performance, speed and agility, or athletic development coach who wants meaningful leadership responsibility while continuing to work directly with athletes.
What You'll Do
Coach & Develop Athletes
- Lead Jump Start, Total Performance, Elite Performance, small-group and team training
- Coach speed, agility, strength, power, mobility, and injury-risk reduction
- Conduct athlete evaluations and clearly communicate results and recommendations to parents
- Track athlete development and help athletes understand their progress
- Create training sessions that are organized, challenging, positive, and high-energy
- Maintain consistent coaching and safety standards across every session
Lead & Develop the Coaching Team
- Serve as the on-site performance leader during assigned hours
- Train, mentor, and evaluate M2/Parisi coaches
- Teach and supervise interns
- Help coaches improve preparation, communication, technical instruction, and athlete engagement
- Maintain accountability around attendance, professionalism, and program standards
- Ensure consistent delivery of the Parisi Speed School methodology
Build Relationships & Grow the Program
- Develop strong relationships with athletes and parents
- Help prospective families understand the value of M2/Parisi training
- Follow up with athletes and families after evaluations
- Support athlete retention, referrals, and membership growth
- Build relationships with local schools, sports teams, clubs and community organizations
- Represent M2/Parisi at combines, evaluations, team events and community programs
- Help identify opportunities for team training and program expansion
Support Recovery & Operations
- Guide athletes in mobility, recovery, regeneration and injury-risk reduction
- Help oversee recovery services and equipment
- Maintain attendance records, athlete notes and parent communication
- Assist with scheduling and basic program administration
- Communicate staffing, athlete and operational needs to the General Manager
What We're Looking For
You bring:
- Experience in sports performance, strength and conditioning, athletic development, or performance training
- Strong knowledge of speed, agility, strength, power, mobility, and recovery
- Experience coaching youth, high-school and/or collegiate athletes
- The ability to mentor and develop other coaches and interns
- Strong communication skills with athletes, parents, and staff
- Professionalism, organization, reliability, and energy
- Confidence working independently and taking ownership of the training environment
- Willingness to learn and consistently deliver the Parisi Speed School system
- Availability primarily during weekday afternoons and evenings
- CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain certification
Even Better If You Have
- CSCS certification
- Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, athletic training, or a related field
- Experience leading a sports-performance facility, department, or coaching team
- Experience with athlete evaluations and performance testing
- Program design experience
- Recovery or regeneration experience
- Membership sales, retention, or business-development experience
- Collegiate athletic experience or significant high-level coaching experience

- Athletes receive excellent coaching regardless of who is leading the session
- Coaches and interns are improving because of your leadership
- Parents understand their athlete's progress and feel connected to the program
- Prospective families receive consistent follow-up after evaluations
- Athletes stay longer, refer others, and continue developing within the program
- Relationships with schools, teams, and clubs create new training opportunities
- The performance program runs at a high level without constant oversight from ownership
Schedule
Approximately 20–30 hours per week, primarily weekday afternoons and evenings. Some weekend athlete evaluations, team-training sessions, combines, or special events may be required.
Compensation
Competitive hourly compensation based on experience, certifications, and leadership background.
Performance incentives may also be available based on membership growth, athlete retention, referrals, and team-training development.
